EAL - English as an Additional Language

At Harris Academy Tottenham EAL learners who are new to English have intervention classes of 50 minutes at least four periods per week.  Lessons are taught in English and supported by lots of visual aids.

Mission statement 

Through EAL intervention classes we promote pupils’ understanding of English which will support them to access the main curriculum and to celebrate multilingualism and cultures to develop language awareness across the board.
