Home Learning - Why Do We Do Homework

Homework is an opportunity for you to reflect on your learning and practice your new skills and knowledge. It also gives your teachers an opportunity to check your understanding, so that can adapt their lessons for you.

What will you need to do?

You will receive one piece of homework per week per subject. This work should take a minimum of 30 minutes to complete.

Homework will be set according to a published timetable. You should ensure that these tasks are completed to the best of their ability, presented well and submitted by the agreed deadline.

You are also expected to read independently at home for at least 30 minutes per day.

What will happen when I do excellent homework?

Teachers will reward excellent homework and sanction poor quality or incomplete work according to the behaviour policy.
