Design and Build competition for the Harris Academy Tottenham
Notice for Expressions of Interest for design and refurbishment works to support the Harris Academy Tottenham All-Through School 2015 Accommodation requirements for the intake of new pupils.
The Harris Federation are inviting submissions from contractors in taking part in a local two stage Design and Build competition for the Harris Academy Tottenham All-Through School to carry out works at their permanent school site to support the 2015 pupils intake of an additional 270.
The Harris Academy Tottenham All-Through School is a 1570 place All-Through School, with 420 Primary, 900 11-16 year olds and 250 6th Form, which opened to its first intake in September 2014 in its permanent location, the Lee Valley Technopark, Tottenham Hale. It is a non-selective, mainstream, non-faith designated, co-educational school.

Harris Academy Tottenham All-Through School requires a competent contractor to carry out the following works:
- Refurbishment of circa 2600sqm of existing space to support the change of use of the current building from light industrial/offices into a new school.
- Levels of refurbishment works vary from majority heavy/medium non-structural refurbishment to areas of re-fresh and deep clean of ancillary areas
The construction works will be procured directly by the Harris and managed on their behalf by the Education Funding Agency and their appointed Technical Advisor, Mace Ltd.
An initial feasibility study have been undertaken by Mace and identifies the spacial layout concept, which has been agreed as the basis for the brief and scope of works. The work will be contracted under the JCT Design and Build Contract 2011 with EFA Schedule of Amendments.
Contractors wishing to be considered for this opportunity must express their interest by sending an email to paula.goy@macegroup.com by noon on Wednesday 11th March 2015 to receive an Invitation To Tender. Any expressions of interest received after the deadline will be rejected.
Tender documents will be issued immediately and Contractors will be invited to a site visit on Monday 16th March and tender will be due to be submitted by Friday 20th March 2015. The successful contractor will be appointed to stage one of the local competition under a Pre-Construction Services Agreement with project delivery to meet the start of the new term in September 2015.
