University Preparation - Year 12 and Year 13
Through our partnership with Harris Westminster Sixth Form, we are able to offer a unique timetable that reflects university-style learning.
Students are offered regular masterclasses and lectures from leading academics and professionals, with student-led virtual seminars hosted by the Westminster campus. This depth of learning equips students for the rigours and breadth of any university course.
Students begin their university preparations in the Autumn term of Year 12. They are introduced to universities choices, guided through the UCAS process, shown how to research courses, and prompted to think critically about their existing attainment and be strategic in boosting their predicted grades.
Medical applicants are given nuanced and extensive support through university lectures, work experience placements and volunteering in medical or carers contexts. In addition to a number of trips that we organise to a diverse range of institutions, we endeavour to show students exactly what is required to develop a genuine commitment and love of their subject.
Students receive personalised support and guidance from the Harris Federation Careers Team.
All our higher prior attaining students are also enrolled onto the Harris Experience Advanced Programme, to provide a range of opportunities that further extend learning.
This universities work complements our wider pathways and enrichment provision.
