Sociology

Sociology is an option subject taught at KS4. Pupils study the AQA exam board. Sociology involves the study of Modern Britain; it raises many interesting questions by focusing on society’s institutions and examining the effects they have on people’s lives. The course provides insight into the ways people live their lives in a multicultural society and the reasons for their choices. 

Mission statement

Our pupils will be able to think outside of the box, understand content and apply their knowledge to real life scenarios. They will understand whether evaluation points support or go against theories and explain why.
