Textiles

At Harris Academy Tottenham, Textiles is an optional subject for KS4 and follows the AQA GCSE course. Textiles is taught across three lessons per week for Year 10 and four per week for Year 11. The course comprises of two components: Component 1, an extended portfolio project, and Component 2, an externally set exam project.

Mission Statement

Our pupils will be able to show distinctive skills in their ability to make, record and manipulate in visual and/or tactile dorm. They will be able to interpret, critically appraise, problem solve, take risks and develop information, materials thought and ideas. They will show the tenacity and ability to imagine, create and express in visual and/or tactile form in order to make a unique and original contribution to Textiles.
